About Me

me, thinking wistfully about Markus Zusak

So you love books, huh? They keep you up at night, call to you from bookshop shelves, and make you want to laugh and cry and, more than anything, reread? You’ve come to the right blog; I think we’re going to be good friends.

My name is Hannah Johnson. I’m an undergrad studying Editing and Publishing. I forced my mom to teach me to read when I was three years old, and I’ve been forcing her to listen to my book rants ever since. (Hi Mom! Love you!)

I spend most of my free time reading, but I also love to run, try new sushi places, and stalk new dogs to pet. Catch me in the Hufflepuff common room, unabashed. #puffpride

I’d wanted to be a writer since I was eight, and if you were to catch me very high on benadryl, you might hear about the book I self-published when I was fourteen. But, today, my true interest lies in pursuing that ideal five-star novel that changes the literature. That’s why my heart is set on editing and critique.

Can one reviewer change the literature? …Um, can one reviewer try? I believe that literature only improves when the whole community is collaborating, and I’m here to be one star in that constellation of collaborators. The goal is to be a bright one.

So let’s collaborate! Hop into the comments section. Disagree, agree, emphasize! Join the newsletter; join the community! Let’s laugh, cry, and reread our favorite books together.
